July 24, 2024E.ON UK has announced a new partnership with Ripple Energy aimed at making renewable electricity ownership more accessible and affordable for people across the country. This initiative allows individuals to own part of a wind farm or solar park through a cooperative model.
By owning a source of clean power, participants can directly contribute to sustainable energy solutions, accelerating the transition to net zero and combatting climate change. Ripple Energy collaborates with suppliers like E.ON Next to apply savings from renewable energy sites directly to customers’ electricity bills, enabling homes and businesses to be powered by renewable energy.
Julian Lennertz, Chief Commercial Officer at E.ON Next, emphasised the company’s long-standing commitment to clean energy. “We are a play maker in the energy transition and building cleaner sources of energy is in our DNA. We built our first wind farm more than 30 years ago, we were behind the UK’s very first offshore wind farm, and we’re now one of the UK’s biggest installers of solar panels, EV chargers, and heat pumps. Partnering with Ripple gives our customers even more easy ways to play their role in – and benefit from – everything and everyone being powered by sustainable energy.”
This partnership complements E.ON UK’s existing domestic solutions, including solar panels, batteries, heat pumps, and EV chargers, further involving customers in sustainable energy practices.
